In keeping with our water motif this week (see Aida in “Charming,” our first article), we present you with this week’s Best Of model, Helen. And not just any Helen – Helen as she appears in a wind storm of wonderful water, splashing all around her, wetting her body and giving her the look of a goddess of the deep.

Each week, in our “Best Of” column, we pay tribute to a model or a photo series that best typifies what is so special about FEMJOY - pure, sensual, natural nudes of beautiful, happy, brilliant young women. And this week, it is an easy choice to pay tribute to Marika for her photo series, “Smile.” One look at the sample photos on this page…which is a tiny portion of the nearly 100 images in this set – and you will see why Marika is our choice this week.
When it came to naming this series, there were a lot of options, considering Marika’s wonderfully diverse posing style, the different environments in which she poses in this series, and her various moods – ranging from happy to sensual to highly aroused. Rita is one of our models from South America – she is from Chile. We do have a handful of models from that continent, from Argentina and Brazil, from Columbia and Chile. They are all dark, sensual, and wonderfully exotic, just like Rita.
In the photo series you see here, Rita is posing on the rocky coast of her home nation, cuddled up against the roaring Pacific Ocean. Chile is known for its natural wonders, and was one of the countries visited by Charles Darwin on his important “Voyage of the Beagle.” That voyage led to observations that later made it into his theory of natural selection.
Of course, Darwin never saw Rita, though we’re guessing if he had he would have had a harder time giving up the idea that there are angels in this world, because Rita definitely looks like a supernatural entity. And yet, there’s something also so earthly and natural about her. As she hugs the rocks, naked on the surf, you get a feeling like you’re looking back in time, at an age more primitive, more natural, and perhaps more sensual than our own. An age when beautiful women like Rita roamed the beaches.

Dasha had a long day. As a waitress in an outdoor beer garden in St. Petersburg, she runs around a lot, sweating in the sun, satisfying her customers’ needs for this or that. As this newsletter reaches your in-box, the World Cup 2006 is in mid-action. And chances are, you’ve been following that action. Who will it be this year? Will Brazil repeat? Many of the photo shoots at FEMJOY take place in places of amazing natural wonder. And this set is no exception. In these photos you get to see Mariana perched high in the mountains, straddling huge boulders, and looking like a sort of cross between a woman and a bird, though, of course, when it’s Mariana posing nude, one has no problem figuring that she’s a woman.
Mariana is a robust, healthy, athletic woman with a shock of red hair atop her head. There’s a strength to this model that is so compelling, as if she is strong both inside and out. And when she’s striking a pose on top of a boulder, you get to see every muscle in her body flexing and shining through.
The name of this set is “Hot Storm,” and we’re sure you’ll know why once you look at these photos. The “heat” these shots will generate in you was present the day of the shoot – it was an especially warm day, and if you look closely you can see beads of sweat dripping down Mariana’s breasts.
